Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Clipex (“the app”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the app.

These Terms apply to the iOS version of Clipex made available through Apple’s App Store by Marian Yakubets.

Description of Service

Clipex is an audio extraction and conversion application. The app provides:

  • Audio extraction from video files
  • Audio reversal
  • Format conversion (MP3, M4A, WAV, FLAC, OGG, M4R)
  • Audio trimming with waveform visualization
  • Audio recording
  • Playback speed control

Clipex processes media locally on your device. We do not operate a cloud storage or hosted media-processing service for the app.

User Responsibilities

You are responsible for how you use Clipex. You agree that you will:

  • Use the app only in compliance with applicable laws and regulations
  • Use only media and content that you own or are authorized to use
  • Review exported files before sharing or publishing them
  • Keep your device, Apple ID, and purchase credentials secure
  • Not interfere with the operation of the app or attempt to access features or entitlements you have not purchased

You may not reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, modify, or create derivative works of the app except to the extent such restrictions are prohibited by applicable law.

Subscriptions and Payments

Clipex offers a free tier, a yearly auto-renewing Pro subscription, and a lifetime one-time Pro purchase. Both Pro purchase options unlock unlimited completed external exports; they do not gate editing tools, effects, supported format selection, or internal project saves.

Free Tier Limitations

  • Core editing and internal project saves remain available without a subscription
  • One completed external export is included
  • After that export is completed, Pro is required for additional external exports

Yearly Pro Subscription

  • Payment is processed through the Apple App Store
  • Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period
  • Your Apple ID account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period
  • You can manage and cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID account settings
  • Any unused portion of a free trial period will be forfeited when you purchase a subscription

Lifetime Pro Purchase

  • The lifetime option is a one-time purchase processed through the Apple App Store
  • It does not automatically renew and does not require cancellation to prevent future renewal charges
  • It unlocks unlimited completed external exports for the lifetime of the app, subject to these Terms and the App Store terms

Purchase Management

  • Purchase and entitlement status for both options is managed by RevenueCat on our behalf
  • You can restore an eligible purchase while signed into the Apple ID used to make it

Pricing

Current pricing is available on the App Store product page. Prices may vary by region and are subject to change.

Privacy

Your use of Clipex is also subject to our Privacy Policy, which explains how the app handles information, permissions, limited usage analytics (PostHog), and subscription-related data (RevenueCat). Please review the Privacy Policy at /clipex/privacy-policy/.

User Content

You retain all rights to the audio and video files you process with Clipex. We do not claim ownership of your content. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to process any content you use with the app.

Intellectual Property

All content, features, and functionality of Clipex, including but not limited to the design, graphics, and code, are owned by Marian Yakubets and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

Disclaimer of Warranties

Clipex is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to:

  • Merchantability
  • Fitness for a particular purpose
  • Non-infringement
  • Uninterrupted or error-free operation

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Marian Yakubets and Clipex shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses resulting from:

  • Your use or inability to use the app
  • Any errors in audio processing or conversion
  • Any loss of media files or data
  • Any unauthorized access to or use of your device
  • Subscription or purchase issues handled by Apple or RevenueCat

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. We will notify users of any material changes by updating the “Last updated” date. Your continued use of the app after such changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the app immediately, without prior notice, for any reason, including breach of these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the app will immediately cease.

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Ukraine, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
